We have been staying at Berg-en-See now for over 15 years Maria & Gerrit, the owners are two of the nicest people we have ever met and very obliging, nothing is too much trouble. The cottage is not only very traditional and cosy. Can easily accommodate four adults as has two double en-suite bedrooms together with dining kitchen, tv sitting room and a lounge with ocean views that leads out onto the sun terrace with table & seating for outdoor barbecues etc. The cottage is in an absolutely fabulous position with views of Table Mountain & Robben Island. Indeed, when sun bathing on the terrace I can literally throw a pebble into the ocean. Anyone intending to visit South Africa should most certainly stay at Berg en See!

Our ‘second' home in Bloubergstrand. We have been coming here for almost twenty years, and we still can’t get enough. Why? Because this is the place where we find peace, quiet, and true relaxation. Every day begins differently and ends in awe – the view from the terrace on Table Mountain and the sunset is unique and always changing, like a living painting. Bloubergstrand is not just about the beach and the ocean. It’s also about the extraordinary cottage on the beach – a genuine historic landmark with a soul and a story. Its atmosphere makes us feel special, as if time slows down and everyday life is left far behind. Beside this the location is very good, close to restaurants and the Big Bay shopping center is around the corner. This beach cottage has become so much more than just a holiday spot. It is our ‘second' home, a place we return to with joy and longing. And we know it will always be that way...
